It’s been 2 months since I moved back to Malaysia. We are pretty much settled now. House, car, school, maid, job, etc, all are in place and running. As much as I liked to bitch and moan in the past, I can’t complain much about what’s been going on in these months. In short — so far so good.
Life in Malaysia is no doubt easier. And when things get tough, we have a good support system in our family and friends. A month feels longer too. The last 2 months could have easily been at least 4 in Azerbaijan. Time just moved faster there, from my perspective.
I am still enjoying myself being HOME after more than 3 years abroad. I can’t see myself traveling anywhere for the next 2-3 years at least, not even for a vacation. I do not totally eliminate the possibility of venturing out again, however. But for now, I just want to stay put. Until of course, I get sick of something so much that warrants a change as major as an expatriation.
I foresee things will get tougher in the coming months. My job will shift into higher gear and shall be more demanding. I’d be happy if I could finish this 1-year contract with no major incident and possibly extend the term to another year. Beyond that, I have no plan career-wise. I’m just gonna take it easy and wing it this time.
yeay… good to know things are going well :)
salam ramadhan almubarak to you and family!
