There’s a sense of failure in quitting (and in my case, a sense of guilt too). This is because people quit when they give up, lost hope, admit defeat. There are also people who quit while they are ahead. But this is only because they are aware that they’ve reached the peak and it’s downhill from there, i.e. failures are forthcoming.
I hate to quit. And because of this, I often find myself not starting something I am not sure of finishing.
Working for my current employer was part of a dream I had in college. But as fate had it, I could not manage to get in when I wanted to. Long after the dream had been forgotten, IT came knocking on my door. I welcome the union with cautious optimism. I never expected this to be my final destination, although I didn’t expect it to be a short stop either.
Life goes on — is what people say to help them move on. I can only pray that I am making the right decision.
But you certainly made the right decision of coming home.
